About CSI Albuquerque

CSI is a national association dedicated to creating standards and formats to improve construction documents and project delivery. The Institute, with more than 14,000 members is unique in the industry in that its members are a cross-section of specifiers, architects, engineers, contractors and building materials suppliers.

The Albuquerque chapter is one of 146 chapters nation-wide and maintains this same diverse membership. Chartered in 1966, Albuquerque Chapter CSI has a tradition of excellence and is considered to be one of the Institute’s most active groups. It has received numerous Institute and Region awards and commendations. Two Institute presidents and the first female Region director have been produced by the chapter.  Monthly Albuquerque chapter meetings allow members the opportunity to communicate openly with their counterparts and exchange information for successful project management.

The Albuquerque chapter is renowned in the local construction industry as an avenue for participation in CSI’s rigorous certification programs for professionals seeking to improve their knowledge of accurate and concise construction documents. The chapter sponsors and provides high-quality continuing education, professional conferences and product shows.   The annual Continuing Education Conference is a major chapter-run event and is well-attended by the New Mexico design and construction community.

Albuquerque Chapter CSI communicates to its membership through an informative newsletter and the recently-improved web site.  Announcements are distributed to the chapter regarding coming events such as the annual bowling and golf tournaments, and special presentations related to industry topics and technical subjects.  Albuquerque Chapter CSI funds two significant endowments toward providing student scholarships at the University of New Mexico and CNM.

Members of Albuquerque CSI enjoy the benefits of all the Institute has to offer as well as education, networking, and friendship at the local and personal levels.
