Albuquerque Chapter & Members Recognized at CONSTRUCT2011 & The Annual CSI Convention

For the 12th year in row, CSI Albuquerque received the Outstanding Chapter Award. Albuquerque was one of only 33 chapters to receive this honor, and is considered a "Sliver Level" recipient because the chapter has never missed a year for this award for more than a decade.

State of New Mexico Public School Facilities (PSFA) was the only recipient of this year's Organizational Certificate of Appreciation. This is the highest award the Institute can bestow on a firm, organization, or association. It is presented to a firm, organization, or association for exceptional accomplishments that promote the mission of the Institute or for exceptional liaison work with the Institute.  (Right: William Sprick, CSI, CDT, accepts the award on behalf of PSFA.)

Three CSI Albuquerque members received President's Plaques. Each year, CSI's president is permitted to recognize five individuals for their exceptional contributions to the Institute. The recipients are chosen by the president, and not revealed until the night of CSI's annual gala. President Dennis Hall, FCSI, Lifetime Member, CCS, CCCA, recognized:

Lee H. Orosco, FCSI, CCS, for her contributions in Education & Certification.  Her plaque read: "For your exceptional work in leading the CSI Certification Body of Knowledge Analysis Task Team, which will improve the education and certification of professionals to improve project delivery processes and facility performance; you are presented this President’s Plaque on the 16th day of September 2011."  (Right: Orosco with Hall.)

Paul Simonsen, FCSI, CCS, CCCA, for his contributions with James Rains, Jr., CSI, to Practice Tools. His plaque read: "For your exceptional contributions to the improvement of construction contract administration as the primary contributors to the CSI Construction Contract Administration Practice Guide, leading the Construction Contract Administration Practice Group, and expert knowledge in conducting the CSI Certification Body of Knowledge Analysis for construction contract administration; you are presented this President’s Plaque on the 16th day of September 2011."  (Right: Rains, Hall, and Simonsen.)

Nina M. Giglio, CSI, CCS,  for her contributions to the construction industry. Her plaque read: "For your exceptional contributions to the Institute and the construction industry, while servicing as CSI Liaison to the ConcensusDOCS Contract Content Advisory Council, CSI Certification Body of Knowledge Analysis Task Team, CSI Compliant Document Review Group, CONSTRUCT Advisory Board, President of Specifications Consultants in Independent Practice, and advisor to the CSI President; you are presented this President’s Plaque on the 16th day of September 2011."
